ADVISING - SUPPORT FOR UNDECLARED MAJORS 

Undeclared students are encouraged to meet with an adviser at the main campus Academic Advising Center in Student Services Wes 1551, North of Aztec Center.

Office hours are Monday - Thursday, 8;00am - 4:00 pm (Closed Fridays)

CAREER SERVICES - SUPPORT FOR UNDECLARED MAJORS 

Undeclared students have the benefit of utilizing SDSU's Career Services, as they discover their interests. Whether meeting with a career counselor, utilizing the career resource room, on-campus interviewing, or assessments, Career Services will support undeclared students in choosing a major.

CREATE YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE IN AZTEC CAREER CONNECTION

All students are required to create a personal profile in Aztec Career Connection. This service offered by Career Services allows you to create a profile which will help Career Services better connect you to a secure website listing thousands of jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities. This system also allows you to upload resumes and cover letters, schedule on-campus interviews, and sign up for workshops and information sessions. Use your RedID to sign in and get started today!

Undeclared students are encouraged to meet with a career counselor at Career Services, located in Student Services East, Room 1200. Telephone: 619.594.6851 Office hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm Fast 15 (walk-in hours): Monday-Thursday: 1:00pm-2:45pm & Friday 10:00am-11:45am. (Closed whenever the SDSU campus is closed)

CLARIFY INTERESTS AND GAIN INSIGHT INTO MAJORS OR CAREERS

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the assessment tools at Career Services. Assessment tools are available to SDSU students with a referral from a career counselor during an appointment, or during the Fast 15 walk-in hours. Assessments can help you clarify your interests and help you choose a major and career path that fits with your personality! FocusType, which defines your personality type, is one assessment offered through Career Services that is free after you register with Aztec Career Connection. Other assessments can be found here:

FREE CAMPUS RESOURCES 

All SDSU students are encouraged to utilize free campus resources, such as the Writing Center and Library.

The Writing Center

The Writing Center offers one-on-one tutoring, online tutoring, workshops, and other resources! You can use their website to make an appointment, or stop by their office for a drop-in session. The Writing Center can assist you with your writing for course assignments, research papers, creative writing, personal statements, cover letters, scientific writing, graduate applications, and more! 

Tutoring Center

SDSU's Library offers many services to SDSU students, such as study spaces, charging stations for your electronics, computing, printing and copying services, and a Tutoring Center. The Tutoring Center offers free tutoring for math courses. Tutoring hours and subjects.
